NSC Chairman Shehu Dikko Named Man of the Match as All Stars International Dominate Veterans Cup Opener
Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Malam Shehu Dikko, stole the spotlight at the weekend as he was named Man of the Match following a brilliant performance in the opening game of the All Stars International Abuja Veterans Cup.
Playing for All Stars International FC Abuja, Dikko delivered a commanding display in midfield, helping his side to a 4-1 victory over NNPC All Stars in front of a lively crowd at the Area 3 Football Pitch.
The award was presented by Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, who lauded Dikko’s passion for grassroots sports and his continued involvement in the game both on and off the pitch.
“It’s inspiring to see our sports administrators lead by example,” said Olawande. “Malam Dikko showed today that leadership and performance can go hand in hand.”
The fixture kicked off the Veterans Cup tournament, which brings together ex-professionals, enthusiasts, and stakeholders in a celebration of football and fitness among seasoned players.
