Following Rangers 1-0 victory against Heartland of Owerri, Chairman of the Enugu based club Bar, Amobi Ezeaku, spurred the team with a surprise gift of one hundred and fifty thousand naira.

Amobi expressed delight over the resistance of the  junior Rangers even though one of their player was red carded. 

"I am proud of you guys displayed of the never say die attitude of Rangers even though you were one man down".

"Some of you can moved to the Senior team especially the team Captain Igwelo Chimobi if the coach approve of it for development".

Coach Basil Obeta of Enugu Rangers commended his players and point that they will not underrate or be afraid of any team as they will take on Enyimba of Aba in the matchday 2 by 11am at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium, Enugu.

Enyimba held Abia Warriors to a 2-2 draw in their opening game.

Abia Warriors will open matchday 2 fixtures against Heartland by 9am in the same venue.
