NPFL Matchday 6: Olorunleke Ojo Stole The Show In Enyimba's Away Draw
Enyimba Captain and Super Eagles goalkeeper, Olorunleke Ojo was outstanding in the Matchday 6 NPFL fixtures against Niger Tornadoes in Kaduna.
The Peoples Elephant held the Minna based team to a goalless draw in their adopted home.
Ojo who put up a man of the match performance ensured the 9 time NPFL champions got their first away point this season.
Speaking after the crunchy encounter Ojo said they wanted all the three points but are satisfied with the one point, insisting that the result also indicated that they can still do it despite the challenges they have faced in the past weeks.
“ we are happy for the point we got and am happy with the effort I put in during the game by all standard.
“We really wanted all the three points but it didn’t work, so we will manage the one point and consolidate on it at home with our next game.
Speaking in the same vein, Coach Finidi George shared his sentiment on the match, saying that they set out to get a good result in Kaduna but are not disappointed with the point at hand.
“It’s good we got the point and am happy because we have had two games where we didn’t get anything.
“It was our strategy to go into the game looking for a win, if it comes, fantastic but if doesn’t, we make sure we don’t lose.
“We have to go home now and work towards getting the maximum points in the next game at home.
Enyimba has played three matches in the league losing one, winning one and drawing one. The people’s Elephant will in their next game on Sunday take on Kwara United at the Enyimba Int’l Stadium, Aba.
