NPFL Goes On 4 Weeks Break
The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL will embark on a one month break after matchday 32 fixtures this weekend
It was gathered that the four weeks hiatus became necessary to allow former champions, Rivers United to conclude their outstanding matches.
Rivers United currently have five unplayed matches due to their continental engagement. The Port Harcourt based side were eliminated from the CAF Confederation following a 2-1 aggregate defeat against USM Algiers in the quarter.finals.
Rivers United defeated Katsina United 2-0 on Thursday. They are currently 12th on the NPFL table with 40 points from 26 matches.
Should they win all their outstanding five matches, they will dethrone Rangers on the apex of the log.
