Nigerian actress Yvonne Jegede revealed financial strain as a contributing factor to the breakdown of her 2018 marriage to actor Olakunle Fawole, known professionally as Abounce.

Jegede, speaking on the upcoming episode of "The Honest Bunch" podcast, shared her regrets about prioritizing love over financial stability in her choice of partner.

The actress also mentioned communication issues stemming from her ex-husband's age sensitivity. "There was an age difference," Jegede said. "Even a playful remark would be misconstrued as disrespect."

While acknowledging other factors, Jegede highlighted the financial burden she shouldered: "Let's be clear, I was the primary financial provider. Raising our son as a single parent is challenging, but prioritizing financial security would have been wiser."
