Deputy Governor of Benue State, Mr Sam Ode, don shut down tori wey dey fly for social media say dem wan replace am before 2027 general elections.

Ode talk this one on Friday for Owukpa, Ogbadibo Local Government Area, during burial of Mrs Elizabeth Apochi, where him represent Governor Hyacinth Alia.

According to am, di rumour na pure lie wey some people just carry spread to confuse Benue South people and scatter ground politically.

“No truth dey inside di speculation say Governor Alia wan change me with Ojotu Ojema or anybody else,” Ode talk.

He come beg residents make dem no give ear to di fake news, as him and the governor still dey work well together and dem focus na to serve Benue people better.

But Ode still yarn say if Ojotu Ojema reason to join APC, dem go welcome am with open hand.

“Benue South na APC dey control. Ojema na di only rep for the zone wey no dey our party. If he join, e go make us stronger,” he add.

Di deputy governor come use the chance warn politicians and social media people make dem no involve Idoma traditional ruler, Dr Elaigwu Odogbo John, for any political palava. He beg make dem respect tradition and no drag royal stool into politics.
