Aare Hon. Tolu Bankole, a political strategist and member of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will complete his full two-term tenure, effectively ruling out any possibility of a leadership change in Aso Rock come 2027.

In a statement released on Monday, Bankole reassured Nigerians of Tinubu’s commitment to national transformation and sustainable development, urging opposition parties to abandon any hopes of contesting the presidency in 2027.

“Save your money and energy; there will be no vacancy in Aso Rock in 2027,” Bankole asserted.

He praised the administration’s ongoing economic reforms, acknowledging the initial challenges but emphasizing their necessity for long-term economic stability and prosperity.

Bankole highlighted President Tinubu’s strategic initiatives aimed at revitalizing key sectors, including infrastructure, energy, and job creation. According to him, these reforms are designed to lay the foundation for Nigeria’s emergence as a global economic and political powerhouse.

“President Tinubu is dedicated to consolidating these gains in his second term,” Bankole stated, expressing confidence in the President’s vision for sustainable national development.

He urged Nigerians to remain patient and supportive, emphasizing that the government’s transformative agenda is designed to address fundamental economic challenges and enhance national prosperity.

Addressing the sensitive issue of power rotation between the North and South, Bankole reaffirmed the APC’s commitment to maintaining Nigeria’s political equilibrium.

“After President Tinubu’s constitutionally guaranteed eight-year tenure, power will return to the North in line with Nigeria’s established political framework,” he declared.

He criticized those advocating for a disruption of this order, accusing them of either misunderstanding Nigeria’s political history or deliberately trying to create discord for selfish political gains.

Bankole did not hold back in his critique of the opposition, accusing them of employing deceptive narratives and divisive rhetoric to undermine the government.

“The Nigerian people have seen through the pretenses of these opposition elements, whose past campaign strategies were built on baseless claims and deceptive narratives,” he remarked.

 

He described the opposition’s tactics as a series of “comical and outrageous political schemes” that have failed to resonate with the Nigerian electorate.
