Crown FC of Ogbomosho forward, Michael Adegbite, has vowed to continue working hard and improving his performances after emerging as the Highest Goal Scorer and Most Valuable Player (MVP) for November at the Nigeria National League (NNL)/Prostar Monthly Awards.

 

Adegbite, whose impressive goalscoring exploits earned him both honours, said he would not rest on his oars until he achieves greater success in the nation’s second-tier league and beyond. The forward underlined his importance to Crown FC’s campaign with his decisive performances during the period under review.

 

“I will keep pushing and working hard. These awards motivate me, but my focus is to keep improving and make it big in the league,” Adegbite said.

 

In the same vein, Doma United head coach, Najeeb Mabo, who was decorated as Best Coach for November, expressed appreciation to the NNL for instituting the monthly awards, noting that the initiative is drawing out the best from players, coaches and officials across the league.

 

Mabo, son of the late Ismaila Mabo—the only coach to have guided the Super Falcons to the quarter-finals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup—also promised to lead Doma United back to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) at the end of the season.

 

“These awards are motivating everyone. Our target is clear, and by God’s grace, we will return Doma United to the NPFL,” he said.

 

Abdulwahab Jibrin of the Katsina State Referees Council, who emerged as Best Referee for November, said his current performance was only the beginning, pledging to continue improving in subsequent matches.

 

“This is just the tip of the iceberg. I will continue to work harder and improve with every game,” Jibrin said.

 

The monthly awards, sponsored by the NNL/Prostar International/Sportslight Hub, were established to reward excellence and promote professionalism among players, coaches and match officials in the Nigeria National League.

 

Also recognised at the ceremony was Ogonyi Matthew Okpahe of Doma United FC, who won the Best Goal Award for his outstanding strike during the Matchday 3 encounter against ABS FC.

 

Mighty Jets FC of Jos were named Best Behaved Team of the Month, in recognition of their exemplary conduct throughout November.

 

The ceremony marked the first edition of the monthly awards for the new NNL season, setting the tone for sustained excellence and competitiveness in Nigeria’s second-tier league.
