Danlami Alanana, Chief Operating Officer of the Nigeria National League (NNL), has expressed the league’s displeasure over incidents that occurred during the match between Gombe United FC and Jigawa Golden Stars.

The match was played on December 21, 2025, at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe.

According to Alanana, the NNL was dismayed by reports from the encounter, describing the situation at the Pantami Stadium as unacceptable and contrary to the values and regulations of the league.

He stated that the NNL would thoroughly investigate the match and all related incidents, adding that the league is poised to take necessary and appropriate decisions in line with its rules and disciplinary procedures.

The NNL reaffirmed its commitment to fair play, safety, and professionalism across all league fixtures, warning that any acts capable of undermining the integrity of the competition would not be tolerated.
