Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie has been named among the final nominees for the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award, marking her third consecutive shortlist as the Confederation of African Football unveiled the finalists for the 2025 honours.

 

The Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper has enjoyed another exceptional year for both club and country, further solidifying her status as one of the world’s elite shot-stoppers.

 

Nnadozie was instrumental in the Super Falcons’ historic 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title win, producing key saves as Nigeria fought back from two goals down to defeat hosts Morocco in a dramatic final.

 

Before her summer move to the English Women’s Super League, the former Paris FC star also helped the French side clinch the Coupe de France, adding yet another major trophy to her growing list of achievements.

 

For the 2025 award, Nnadozie will compete against:

• Khadija Er-Rmichi (AS FAR, Morocco)

• Andile Dlamini (South Africa)

 

Having won the inaugural award in 2023 and defended it in 2024, the Nigerian international is now aiming to complete a remarkable hat-trick when the winners are announced at the 2025 CAF Awards.
