The ongoing Nationwide League One matchday 4 hostilities at the Oisa centre okpala, imo state got underway with a 2 nil supremacy exerted by youthful Supreme Kings FA over a troubled Buberio FC, thanks to goals in either half from Thaidus Tyokula and Divine Atuanya respectively, sealing a comfortable show of dominance from the Umuahia based outfit.
The Buberio lads showed early flashes of possibilities in the 13th minute when Divine Nnadozie shot straight the goalkeeper, a timely warning that they were on a redemptive journey having lost their previous 3 matches.
The much fancied Supreme Kings responded in no distant time as midfielder Stanley Ohaemesi met an inch perfect header that narrowly sailed over the bar. The rejuvenated Supreme Kings followed up the surge when goalkeeper Egbulefu Chidubem was tested from long range with a goal bound effort save for the timely intervention of midfielder Adiukwu Caleb, the Kings would have gone ahead.
The questions from the Kings kept coming and had a visible answer in the 40th minute as lanky midfielder Thaidus Tyokula with a delicious lob over goalkeeper Egbulefu Chidubem to give the Umuahia based side a deserved lead going into the halftime break.
The wounded Buberio boys resumed for the second half with couple of alterations and immediately flattered to deceive with some goal inquisitions notably midway into the second half when midfielder Ojoko Obinna tried his luck from distance with a left footed drive narrowly evading the target.
The quest for a comeback for Buberio was scuttled in the 81st minute as charismatic winger Divine Atuanya who had earlier missed a glorious opportunity bent his effort beautifully into the top left corner to double the Kings' advantage in a sheer moment of brilliance.
The struggles of Buberio FC continued as they are yet to record a solitary point let alone a herculean victory they've so dearly hankered for with another tough engagement against Inter Aba on matchday 5. perhaps on the set day, the tides would turn for the beleaguered Umunneochi based side.
