Five Nigerian clubsides during the weekend secured promotion from the Nationwide League One, NLO, to the Nigeria National League, NNL.

Igbajo United, Emalex,  FC.Basira FC, Barau FC and Magic Stars have all gained promotion to the NLO.

Basira FC defeated Family Worship FC 4-3 on penalties in the NLO playoff match at the New Jos Stadium.
Barau FC beat Yoca Crocodile 3-2 on penalties. The game ended 1-1 in regulation time at the Abuja.

Magic Stars FC defeated Ojodu City FC 5-3 on penalties in a keenly contested encounter at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Lagos.

Igbajo United and Emalex FC also picked NNL tickets after beating FC Ebedei and Cynosure FC 5-4 and 4-2 on penalties, respectively.

Both matches took place at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.
