The Chairman of the Kaduna State Volleyball Association (KADSVA), Engineer Nimrod, has once again demonstrated his commitment to the development of volleyball in the state by disbursing a total of ₦2.8 million as scholarships and stipends to promising players.

 

This was disclosed in a statement signed by KADSVA Board Member representing the media, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, and made available to journalists on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

 

According to the statement, the annual scholarship scheme is open to volleyball players studying in tertiary institutions across the country. The Secretary of KADSVA, Adamu Mohammed, revealed that 14 players benefited under the tertiary institutions category, with each recipient receiving ₦80,000.

 

The beneficiaries are Agape Sunday, Ramatu Abdulmalik, Joy Lawrence, Joy Osumuriyi, Fani Stephen, Patience Abuh, Ramatu Hamza, Emmanuel Nicholas, Jethro Danlami, Chinonye John, Esther Ogazi, Jamilu Musa, Bobai Andrew and Mohammed Abubakar.

 

In addition to the scholarships, the statement noted that Engineer Nimrod also sustained his monthly stipend initiative for elite players. Under the programme, seven players received ₦30,000 monthly stipends for eight months, amounting to ₦240,000 each.

 

The stipend beneficiaries are Emmanuel Alex, Itodo Ojonimi, Emmanuel Samuel, Isaac A. James, Rosemary Sunday, Pamela Bawa and Blessing Okpara.

 

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Engineer Nimrod, who also serves as the President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), praising him for his continued support and investment in grassroots and elite volleyball development.

 

They also offered prayers for God’s continued protection and blessings upon him, describing the gesture as a major boost to their academic pursuits and sporting careers.
