Nigeria's 24-year-old attacker, Mary-Ann Ogochukwu Ezenagu, has joined Chinese Women's Super League side Hangzhou, marking a new chapter in her career. Ezenagu's move comes after a successful stint in the Russian Women's Super League with Zenit Saint Petersburg, where she won two league titles and the Super Cup.

Prior to her time in Russia, Ezenagu played for Rivers Angels and Bayelsa Queens in the CAF Women's Champions League. Her achievements with Rivers Angels include winning the 2020/21 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership title.

Ezenagu's talent was evident from a young age, as she represented Nigeria at the 2016 FIFA Women's Under-17 World Cup. Her move to Hangzhou adds to the growing contingent of Nigerian players in China, joining Folashade Ijamilusi, Macleans Chinonyerem, and Roosa Ariyo. Notably, Chinonyerem previously played alongside Ezenagu in Russia before moving to Saudi Arabia and now China.
