Nigerian music legend, Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi, is set to celebrate his 83rd birthday on April 3rd, and has reflected on his successful music career spanning six decades. According to a statement from Tunji Odunmbaku, General Manager of Obey Music Group, the music icon has chosen to mark the occasion with a thanksgiving service instead of a lavish celebration.

The service will take place at Decross Gospel Mission, Headquarters of Praise, in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos, and will feature intercessory prayers for the nation. Obey expressed his gratitude to God for his successful music career, saying, "I have been a successful musician and one of the leading artists for 68 years, taking my music to the four corners of the world."

Despite facing health challenges and undergoing multiple surgical operations, Obey credited God for granting him victory over them all. He also thanked God for remaining relevant in his music career while serving Him, saying, "I truly feel fulfilled."

Obey invited all his friends, fans, and well-wishers to join him in appreciating God as he celebrates his 83rd birthday and 68 years as a successful, world-acclaimed musician.
