President of Nigeria Basketball Federation, Engr (Dr). Ahmadu Musa Kida has joined millions of people across the world to congratulate and celebrate Nigeria on the occasion of her 63rd independence anniversary.

In the congratulatory message, Kida expressed his happiness and gratitude to God for keeping Nigeria united and stronger, despite its political and socio-economic challenges. 

"We have several reasons to thank God for keeping our dear Nigeria, united. We acknowledge the several challenges bedeviling our desires for a better country. However, the country can only get better, if we all eschew nepotism, tribalism and religious animosity amongst ourselves."

He went ahead to further task Nigerians home and in diaspora on the needs for love, unity and peaceful co-existence. 

"Nigeria is definitely, God's own country. We have the potentials to be a great, peaceful, progressive and prosperous nation. By His grace, this country shall rise and shine again," Kida prayed.
