The Nigeria National League (NNL) made history by presenting its audited financial report to its congress in Bauchi, marking a significant shift towards accountability and transparency.

NNL Board Chairman, George Aluo, emphasized the importance of openness, stating, "We must gain public trust in our financial dealings." The audited report covers an 18-month period, from July to June, ensuring a stable accounting year.

Vincent Akinbami, partner at the audit firm and former financial expert for Ranchers Bees and Osun United, praised the NNL management for setting an exemplary standard. "This audit demonstrates the league's commitment to transparency and accountability," he said. 

This move is expected to boost stakeholder confidence and promote good governance in Nigerian football.
