The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) has officially unveiled its 14-player squad set to represent the country at the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier — a crucial pathway event leading to the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

 

Announced in Abuja, the squad will be captained by the experienced Agboya Peculiar, who leads a well-balanced team blending tested veterans and promising young talents.

 

The Female YellowGreens will begin their campaign on August 31 against Sierra Leone, followed by a clash with Namibia on September 1, and a final group stage showdown against Zimbabwe on September 3. The qualifiers will be a litmus test for Nigeria’s ambitions to secure a spot in the global tournament.
