NFSC Installs Hon. Barakat Bakare As National Patron And Ambassador

Nigeria's foremost football fans group, Nigeria Football Supporters Club(NFSC), Thursday, at the Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, installed the Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Housing, Barrister(Hon). Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, as its National Patron and Sports Ambassador.
During the investiture, the National Chairman of NFSC, Ambassador (Rev). Samuel Ikpea, said that Hon. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, is a woman of virtue and great football enthusiast, who has over the years showed uncommon passion and love for the game.
"We did our due diligence and realised that Hon. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, is a great football fan and of course, a patriotic Nigerian who has continued to display uncommon passion for youths empowerment through sports, particularly, at the grassroots levels," Ikpea remarked.
"Therefore, it is a no-brainer that today, we're installing her as the first ever female Patron and Ambassador of this esteemed organisation in its 68 years of existence. We know, too, that she would contribute to the continual growth of this club, " Ikpe added.
Hon. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare in her acceptance speech, expressed appreciation for the investiture and honour bestowed on her. Describing herself as a die-hard football fan, she thanked the club for the honour, even as she promised to give her supports always to the club.
"I feel very happy and honoured with this double honour bestowed on me. I want to tell you, that I shall take this to His Excellency, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who is also a sports enthusiast. Thank you very much, Nigeria Football Supporters Club," an elated Odunuga-Bakare stated.
