NFF President Reveals Sekou Eric Chelle's New Role with Super Eagles B

Nigeria Football Federation President, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, has announced that new Super Eagles coach, Sekou Eric Chelle, will work with the Super Eagles B in a supervisory capacity. This was revealed at Chelle's unveiling ceremony, where Gusau outlined the details of the coach's contract.

Chelle will play a supervisory role with the Super Eagles B, who are preparing for the upcoming CHAN competition in Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya. This is a slight departure from the NFF's earlier stance, which stated that the Super Eagles coach would also lead the Super Eagles B team.

Gusau also confirmed that Chelle has signed a two-year contract, with the option of an additional year if he qualifies the Super Eagles for the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals. Chelle will be joined by three assistants and will work with the existing team to enhance the Super Eagles' brand.

The NFF president expressed his confidence in Chelle, stating, "I see in the new Head Coach the right spirit and the right attitude, and I have faith that he will take the Super Eagles to the next level."
