The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the formation of a three-man delegation to address the ongoing disputes affecting the smooth administration of football activities within the Abia State Football Association.

This decision follows reports of internal conflicts that have hindered effective governance and unity within the state’s football community. The committee’s mandate is to engage with the state executive, congress members, and other relevant football stakeholders to find a lasting resolution to the animosity plaguing the association.

According to a statement issued by Ali Abubakar Muhammad, Head of Member Association and Special Duties at NFF, the delegation’s visit aims to foster dialogue and collaboration among the concerned parties. The statement emphasized the importance of restoring harmony to ensure the continued growth and development of football in Abia State.

As part of the conflict resolution process, the NFF has instructed the Abia State Football Association to suspend all activities related to the dispute until the committee submits its report. The visit is scheduled to take place next week, with further details to be communicated soon.

The NFF leadership, under the guidance of its President and executive board, remains committed to promoting unity and effective administration in all state football associations across Nigeria. The federation believes that a peaceful resolution in Abia State will set a positive precedent for resolving similar challenges in other regions.

This move underscores the NFF’s proactive approach in safeguarding the integrity and smooth operation of football activities nationwide.
