NFF Boss Gusau to Attend Mumuni Alao’s Book Launch as Fashola Set to Deliver Keynote Address
President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, has confirmed his attendance at the upcoming book launch of veteran sports journalist Mumuni Alao, scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 10, at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
The high-profile event, which will be held at the Tayo Aderinokun Hall starting from 1:00 PM, is set to attract key figures from Nigeria’s sports, media, and political landscape.
Adding more prestige to the event, former Minister of Works and passionate football enthusiast, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), has accepted an invitation to serve as keynote speaker. Fashola will be addressing the audience on the topic:
“Rethinking the Current Football Business Model in Nigeria as a Catalyst for Sports Development.”
Speaking ahead of the event, the book’s author, Mumuni Alao, expressed his excitement over the level of support the launch is receiving. He described Fashola’s keynote as one of the most anticipated moments of the day, especially given the speaker’s deep understanding of policy and passion for football.
“I’m sure this topic will be of interest to all of us stakeholders in Nigerian football,” Alao said.
The forthcoming book is a reflection of Alao’s decades-long career in sports journalism, and is expected to offer insights into Nigeria’s football evolution, the media’s role in shaping public perception, and recommendations for sustainable growth of the sport.
With Gusau’s confirmation and Fashola’s participation, the event is shaping up to be a major gathering of thought leaders and changemakers in Nigerian football.
