Gbége burst early Sunday morning as operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) storm one night club for Victoria Island wey dem call Proxy Nightclub, located for 7 Akin Adesola Street, where dem say one heavy drug party dey go on.

 

According to tori wey NDLEA Director of Media and Publicity, Femi Babafemi, drop on Sunday, di operation happen around 3am after dem don gather correct intelligence say the club don turn drug zone.

 

Over 100 party people wey dey inside the club that night follow enter wahala as NDLEA carry all of dem go custody for screening. Among the people wey dem arrest na popular Lagos socialite Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, wey people sabi as Pretty Mike, plus former Big Brother Naija housemate Tuoyo.

 

Babafemi talk say NDLEA officers don dey undercover inside the party since around 11pm on Saturday, and dem wait reach middle of the night before dem scatter the show according to their Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

 

“In Lagos, NDLEA operatives in the early hours of Sunday, October 26, raided Proxy Night Club at 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, where a drug party was going on,” Babafemi yarn.

“Over 100 suspects, including the owner of the club, Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, alias Pretty Mike, were arrested and taken into custody for screening. Cartons of illicit substances, including Loud and Laughing Gas, were recovered from the suspects and the club’s store,” he add.

 

NDLEA also show evidence of the things dem recover for the club — cartons of “Loud” (a strong kind of cannabis) and canisters of Laughing Gas (Nitrous Oxide) wey people dey use for highness.

 

The raid don cause plenty reaction for social media as many Lagosians still dey shock say popular people like Pretty Mike and Tuoyo fit entangle for such level of case.

 

NDLEA don talk say the suspects go undergo proper screening and investigation before dem decide who go face prosecution.
