The Nigeria Beach Soccer League has received the Royal Blessing of Nnewi Monarch, His Royal Majesty HRM Igwe Kenneth Orizu 111 ahead the May 15 Nigeria Beach Soccer League second round billed to hold in the industrial hub of South East Nigeria, Nnewi, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.


Aparently in a bold bid to water ground for a solid support base during the championship, a high powered delegation of the Nigeria Beach Soccer League, NBSL, paid a visit to the Palace of His Royal Majesty, HRM, Igwe Kenneth Orizu 111 during which the Monarch poured his Royal Blessings to the NBSL officials and as well for the success of the championship to be held in his domain.

The visit is part of NBSL preparations for the upcoming tournament billed to be staged in the South East industrial City of Nnewi. 

The delegation was led by NBSL Coordinator, Mahmud Hadija. Also in the delegation is Anambra Beach Soccer Association Chairman Professor Victor Madubuko; ASBSA Secretary Hon Emmanuel Nsoedo, and Media Director Awam Okwudili Emmanuel.

The Crown Prince, Dr. Obi Orizu, warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed his delight at having Nnewi showcased positively through beach soccer. 

"We are thrilled to welcome the NBSL board to Nnewi, the land of gold. Your visit marks a new chapter for Nigeria Beach Soccer, and we are honoured to offer our royal blessing. 

"We are proud of our illustrious son, Professor Victor, and his efforts. You have our full support as the tournament kicks off on May 15th, 2024," the Crown Prince said.

NBSL Coordinator, Mahmud Hadija, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and praised Nnewi for hosting teams from across Nigeria. 

The Chairman of Anambra Beach Soccer Association presented a jersey and cap of the Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors to His Royal Majesty.

The delegation also toured the Nnewi Museum and paid a courtesy visit to Chief Innocent Chukwuma, CEO Innoson Motor Manufacturing Company Nigeria Limited. 

The Innoson Motors boss assured NBSL of his support for a successful tournament in Nnewi."
