NBBF Congratulates Bronze Winning Rivers Hoopers, Odaudu, Ahmedu


Nigeria Basketball Federation has congratulated Nigeria's representatives at the season 4 BAL championship, Rivers Hoopers, for claiming bronze at the just concluded basketball championship in Rwanda.

 

The King's Men as Rivers Hoopers are fondly called, made history as the first Nigerian side to make a podium finish at the elite championship.


In its message, the NBBF led by its indefagtible President Engr. Musa Kida, described the feat achieved by the reigning champions of Nigeria's premier basketball league, as remarkable and of course, a true reflection of the efforts of the NBBF to continually grow the game in the country.

 

NBBF also praised Coach Ogoh Odaudu for leading his boys to win the bronze medal, as well as, being voted as the BAL Coach of the Year. According to the message, Odaudu, represents the belief of the body in the Nigerian coaches and its efforts to help the coaches improve their crafts and technical capabilities through regular training seminars and clinics.

 

Another Nigerian who received praises of the NBBF, was Col Sam Ahmedu(Rtd), a member of NBBF and President of FIBA Zone 3. The experienced sports administrator was appointed into FIBA Africa Executive Committee.


NBBF remarked that the appointment of Col. Ahmedu is a good development for the game in the country.
