The report wey start circulate on January 4, 2026, claim say the Kaduna-based cleric talk say dem list am as Boko Haram member for elimination the same day wey U.S. carry out airstrike for Nigeria.

 

But for post wey e make for im Facebook page, Sheikh Gumi say the report na pure lie, stressing say e never talk such thing and e never even think say such thing fit happen.

 

E say as at the time the news spread, e dey house calm with im family, and e no get any fear, threat, or worry about im safety.

 

According to am, the wahala come from lecture wey e give for mosque, where e yarn story about something wey happen for August 2012. E say that time, people tell am say Boko Haram plan to kill am.

 

Gumi explain say the two people wey dem send to attack am die immediately when the bomb wey dem carry explode for their hand close to im house.

 

The cleric emphasize say the story na old matter and get nothing to do with recent events or any action from United States.
