MyMission Is To Takel Edel FC Out Of Relegation, Add Value To The Club ----------Hamza Abara Reveals After Unveiling

Hamza Abdulazeez Abara has revealed to Exclusivenews.com.ng that his objective mission at Edel FC, a Nigeria National League, NNL side is to save the club from Relegation.

The former Plateau United and Enyimba Assistant Coach who also served as Niger Tornadoes Technical Adviser further hinted that he is at Edel FC to add value to the club.

Abara made these cheering pronouncements Friday in Awka during his official unveiling by the club.

"I'm here for a mission. I'm here to take Edel out of relegation", Coach Abara said.

"The only task ahead of me is to take the club out of its present predicament in the league.

"I strongly believe that I'm here to add value to the club. And by the special grace of God, that's exactly what we're going to do".

Abara's coaching career had revolved so much on the top flight league clubs.

He responded to questions on his feelings going down the pecking order to take up coaching role in a second tier league club. He disclosed that football is the same irrespective of which league a team belong to, saying that its important for coaches to also coach lower league teams.

"I thank Almighty Allah for sparing our lives to witness a great day like this. Whether an NNL club, NPFL or NLO, its all about football. What matters most is getting the job don.

"Yes, I'm here and I'm happy seeing myself in Edel FC. This is a period whereby we coaches don't have to start thinking about going to coach only in the high level clubs. The most important thing is for you to get a job and get it done successfully.

"That's how it's supposed to be. Given the situation in the country right now, football in Nigeria is taking another dimension----NNL, NPFL,----you can see that the intensity in the NNL is even greater than that in the NPFL. That is why we coaches, sometimes, our minds do go back to NNL so that we can go there and have a very good challenge over there"

Coach Abara paid tribute to the quality of players he met on ground on his arrival.

The players I met here on arrival are very good, young and talented", he pointed out.

"They only need a new orientation for them to get back to shape and form. Edel FC is not a bad team at all. Yes, Edel FC is not a bad team going by what I've seen.

"They are a very good team. I think the only problem is that they were battling with 'I'll luck' under the previous coach. But as you can see, we've to put the boys together to see what we can get in the remaining two matches before the end of the first stanza of the league".

He pleaded with the supporters of the club to stand firmly behind the club as they embark on the mission to turn its fortune in the league around for the better.

"I'm therefore soliciting for the full support of the loyal and passionate fans and supporters of this great Edel FC. They should also pray for us to succeed. And I strongly believe that I'm here to add value to the club. And by the special grace of God, we'll achieve our set objectives".

Team Manager of the club, Mickie Chukwuebuka, said coach Abara's arrival was in response to the need to remedy situation the club has found itself in the campaign.

"Our position on the log is one that demands urgent action", the club boss sounded emphatic.

"We welcome Coach Hamza Abara as our new Technical Tdviser. His work at different teams and more recently with Niger Tornadoes have been hugely impressive.

"I am confident that by God's grace and Abara's experience and work ethics, our situation will change for good".

Kingsley Ihekwoaba, was also unveiled as Assistant Coach To work with Abara. Coach Ihekwoaba is based in Enugu.

"We're counting on him to help Coach Hamza to push us to the next level", the Edel FC Team Manager concluded.
