Málaga CF Sign Mavlon FC Starlet Wahab Musa in European Transfer Move
Players from Nigerian football talent hub Mavlon FC continue to attract attention in the European transfer market, with Spanish club Málaga CF completing the signing of teenage defender Wahab Musa, according to reports by www.totorinews.com.
Musa, an 18-year-old modern-day left full-back, has joined the Spanish side on a three-year contract, marking the beginning of his professional journey in Europe. The Kogi State-born defender is expected to play in the Spanish Segunda División, where Málaga CF believe he fits perfectly into the club’s long-term vision for developing young defenders.
Highly rated for his blend of physical presence and technical ability, Musa is known as a smooth-tackling defender who is difficult for attackers to beat one-on-one. One of his standout qualities is his attacking contribution, using his pace to overlap and deliver precise crosses into dangerous areas.
Despite his growing reputation, Musa has not featured for any of Nigeria’s age-grade national teams. His closest experience at that level came during a friendly match last year, when he played for Mavlon FC against the Flying Eagles in a 2–2 draw at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja.
In Spain, Musa is set to renew rivalry with a former Mavlon FC teammate, Elisha Ephraim, who recently signed for CD Castellón, also in the Segunda División.
Musa’s move further reinforces Mavlon FC’s reputation as a leading football development outfit in Nigeria. Over the past few years, the club has built a strong profile for scouting, nurturing and preparing young talents to meet the demands of professional football in Europe.
The latest transfer is seen as another success story for the academy and a promising step forward in Wahab Musa’s young career.
