Super Eagles Team B forward, Sunday Megwo, proved decisive for Abia Warriors as they returned to winning ways with a gritty 1-0 victory over Bendel Insurance in their NPFL Matchday 29 clash on Sunday at the Umuahia Township Stadium.

Megwo, scoring in back-to-back home games, headed in a delightful cross from Andrew Abalaogun in the 43rd minute to hand Imama Amapakabo’s side the lead.

With this goal, the Umuahia-born striker now boasts nine goals and three assists in 24 league appearances. Only Nasarawa United’s Anas Yusuf (13 goals) has scored more in the NPFL this season.
