The 2025 Anambra State League came to a fitting end Sunday at the NEROS Stadium, Nanka, with Lampada football club of Oko emerge as undisputed proud winners of the 2025 Anambra State League as the champions, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Bankrolled by Akubudike Energy Ltd, the league winners smiled home with a princely sum of N2m as star prize with first runners-up grabbing the sum of N1m.

Third place winners got N500, 000 while the fourth placed team received N200, 000 in the 'win-win' league.

In Sunday's grand finale, Lampada came from behind to snatch a 3-2 win on penalty kicks after the game had ended 1-1 at regulation time.

In the third place match, Game Changers FC defeated Bishop Owen Nwokolo Football Academy, BONFA, 1-0.

Aside the cash prizes and trophy for the winners, the two finalists--Lampada and Rangels--have earned the bragging right to represent Anambra State in the Nationwide League Two next year (2026).

Similarly, there were individual awards for players who distinguished themselves with exceptional performances during the competition.

Lampada FC's player, Nelson Nwachukwu was crowned as The Most Valuable Player, MVP, while Joseph Okeke of Rangels FA emerged as the Best Goalkeeper of the competition just as Chikwado Oramalu of Game Changers FC scooped The Highest Goal Scorer award.

Each individual award winner received N50, 000 cash award.

Chief Iloenyosi, a former Super Eagles defender and ANSFA Chairman commended the sponsor, Chief Nwabueze, for bankrolling the football competition which has given massive boost to football development in Anambra State.

The ANSFA boss assured that under his watch, there will be more footballing activities aimed at boosting the growth of the game in the state.

'General' Iloenyosi did not stop at that. He went on to pour encomiums on the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Soludo and his Deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, for providing the enabling environment for the growth of the round leather game in the state.

ANSFA Vice Chairman,  Chief Sir Victor Aniekwena was full of praise for Akubudike Energy Ltd for being a great lover and supporter of the game through the sponsorship of the State Football League.

Sir Aniekwena assured that the current ANSFA board is poised in taking football growth in the state to the next level.

Anambra State Football Association, ANSFA Board presented a Special Award to the tournament sponsor, Chief Jim Nwabueze.
