The Lagos Supremacy Cup 2024 has once again demonstrated its commitment to discovering and elevating grassroots football talent to the international arena.

Under the astute leadership of Hajji Gafar Olawale Liameed, Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), the tournament has achieved a remarkable milestone: 24 exceptional players from grassroots clubs have been selected for international trials.

Reflecting on this achievement, Hajji Gafar remarked, “Our vision is clear, and our investment in scouting underscores our dedication to nurturing young talent. This year, we exceeded expectations by identifying 24 players from a pool of 200—a new standard for grassroots football in West Africa.”

These budding stars, drawn from clubs such as Beyond Limits, Dino SC, Broad City, and others, are set to explore opportunities with top clubs across Europe and South America. Their skills, determination, and passion have opened doors to a brighter future on the global stage.

Hajji Gafar added, “These players will begin trials in January and during the summer transfer window of 2025. We eagerly await their letters of invitation, which will formalize their journeys to international football.”
