The 2024/2025 Lagos State League Super 4 kicked off with great enthusiasm at the Legacy Pitch inside the main bowl of the National Stadium on Tuesday. 

The highly anticipated tournament brought together top teams from the Mainland and Atlantic conferences, showcasing the best of grassroots football in Lagos.

In the ladies' category, CATS emerged victorious with a 1-0 win over FC Phoenix. Victory Queens FA also secured a narrow 1-0 win against Aisha Yusuf FA. These matches set the tone for what promises to be an exciting tournament.

In the male category, the match between Arubinjaga FA and Young Strikers ended in a goalless draw. 

The game between FC Ighalo and Bucknor FC was filled with thrilling moments, keeping fans on the edge of their seats. The latter won 2-1.

Lagos State League CEO, Wale Joseph, expressed satisfaction with the standard exhibited by the players during the opening day's matches. He commended the Lagos State Football Association leadership under Hajji Gafar Liameed for providing an enabling environment that supports the growth of grassroots football.

The Super 4 tournament is expected to be a closely contested competition, with each team vying for the top spot.
