The Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), under the leadership of Alhaji Gafar Liameed, has made headlines by appearing on the front page of The Punch newspaper on September 23, 2024. These competitions include prestigious events such as the Lagos Federation Cup, Lagos State Football League, Ibile Cup, Lagos Youth League, Freshers Cup, Lagos State Queens Championship, Oba's Cup, Lagos Beach Soccer Cup, and the Principal's Cup, among others. This strategic investment in football is expected to boost talent development and elevate the sport in the state.
