Kwara State College of Nursing Sciences wey dey Oke-Ode don pack both students and staff go Ilorin temporary, as bandit attacks don turn parts of Kwara South to danger zone.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq give green light for the relocation after gunmen enter Oke-Ode last Sunday, kill 12 people and carry plenty others go during early morning attack wey scatter fear for the whole town.

The school spokesperson, AbdulHafeez Oyewole, confirm the movement say dem don resume classes for Institute of Technology mini campus inside Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.

“Our number one priority na the life of our students and staff. To keep everybody safe, we move come Ilorin so that school no go stop,” Oyewole talk.

The Provost of the school, Alhaji Olanrewaju AbdulQaudri, wey lead the relocation waka, talk say the decision no easy at all but e dey necessary because of the serious insecurity wey dey worry Oke-Ode.

“This decision hard us, but na the only way we fit protect our people after the terrible killings,” he yarn.

He beg staff make dem still dey do their work with full commitment and advise students to adjust to the new place, obey school rules and always stay alert.

As he inspect the new place, the provost promise say school management go still support students well, even though dem no dey their main campus again.

He still show hope say peace go soon return to Oke-Ode so that school go fit move back.

“We believe say all this wahala go soon pass, and once everywhere calm, our school go return stronger,” AbdulQaudri add.

This relocation na another reminder say insecurity dey seriously affect schools and community life for Kwara South, as bandits no gree let people rest.
