Kenya Commercial Bank, the 2022 winners, made a strong start to the 2025 edition, defeating La Loi of Congo DR 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-12) in Pool C.

The Congolese team, La Loi, started strongly with powerful hits, but Kenya Commercial Bank quickly regained control, capitalizing on La Loi's lack of enthusiasm and poor communication. KCB took the first set 25-15.
