Wahala burst on Sunday for Awka, Anambra State capital, as one tricycle (keke) jam one small boy wey wear masquerade cloth, kill am instantly.

 

As tori land, the keke jam the boy for head, scatter am, and the pikin die for the spot.

 

The gbege happen as people dey prepare for the Imo Awka traditional festival, wey dey happen every May to honour the town deity wey dem say na monkey symbolise.

 

People wey see as the matter take happen talk say the boy dey follow other youths waka for street, do awareness parade for the festival wey never officially start.

 

Dem talk say for this kind pre-festival waka, boys go dress like masquerade, do small play-fight with cane, block road sometimes, dey collect money from people wey dey pass.

 

The sad incident don cast serious sorrow for the town, as the community still dey shock say celebration don turn to mourning.
