Renowned actress and activist Kate Henshaw has criticized Nigeria's traffic laws and pedestrian policies, citing a lack of orderliness and respect for pedestrians.

Speaking on News Central TV, Henshaw emphasized the importance of understanding orderliness and respect for pedestrians, saying, "Nigerian pedestrians are not given the same respect as their counterparts in other countries."

She referenced the Nigerian Highway Code, stating, "The code says pedestrians have the right of way at zebra crossings, but in reality, they are not given any right whatsoever."

Henshaw shared a personal experience from Canada, where she witnessed orderly traffic management without chaos or disruption, even when traffic lights stopped working.

She concluded, "Why should we behave like animals in Nigeria when we can adopt better practices from other countries?"
