Kano Pillars FC has suspended Technical Adviser Usman Sheriff Abdallah for three weeks following his conduct towards fans and the team’s underwhelming performances. The decision, announced via a club statement signed by the Media & Communications Directorate, underscores management’s concerns over recent results and professionalism.

Suspension Follows Poor Run of Form

The disciplinary action comes after Pillars’ goalless draw against Bayelsa United, marking their third straight unimpressive outing. With just one win in three matches, frustration has grown among supporters and club officials alike.

Abdallah’s gesture towards fans post-match was deemed inappropriate, prompting the club to take action in a bid to maintain discipline and respect within the team.

In Abdallah’s absence, club legend and Chief Coach Ahmed Garba Yaro-Yaro will assume technical leadership, supported by assistant coaches Abubakar Musa, Gambo Muhammad, Suleiman Shuaibu, and Ayuba Musa. The new coaching team will work on stabilizing the squad and improving results, with their first challenge coming in the NPFL25 Matchday 23 fixture against Remo Stars in Ikenne.
