The 2025 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) kicked off on Monday with thrilling action at Filin Sukuwa, Sani Abacha Bye-Pass, Birnin Kebbi. Kada BSC, Jigawa Golden Star BSC, and Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors emerged victorious in their opening matches.

Kada BSC 10-2 Kebbi United BSC
The league opener saw 2022 champions Kada BSC dominate Kebbi United BSC with a commanding 10-2 victory.
Mamman James and Dozie Frank put Kada BSC ahead early before Abba Aliyu pulled one back for Kebbi United. However, Kada regained control with Tanko Emmanuel restoring their two-goal cushion.

The final match of the opening day ended in a dramatic 4-4 draw between Ibom BSC and Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors, forcing extra time and penalties.
Stanley Ekwo (brace), Chinweze Gabriel, and Emeka Ogbonna scored for Anambra, while Ibom BSC responded through Uwana Aniete (brace), Uyo Aniefiok, and Efiong Eyo.
Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors clinched the win with a 4-3 victory in the penalty shootout, securing a crucial point.
