The Kabusa Community School field in Abuja is set to come alive as the highly anticipated Kabusa Football League kicks off from April 6 to June 22, 2025. Excitement is building across the neighborhood as teams and players from Kabusa and its surrounding areas prepare for the thrilling grassroots tournament.

This year’s competition will feature some of the strongest teams, including:

• Defending champion Zaar United (Bauchi)

• Abuja Indigenous People Team

• Hausa and Igbo Teams

• Gbagyi FC

• Gwandara United

• Oduduwa FC

• Headliners FC

• Mshel FC

• Dana FC

• Skyrider FC

• Young Planners FC

• Diamond FC

• Unified FC

• Shooting Stars FC

• Super Star FC

• Good Neighbor FC

• Shining Star FC

The Chief Executive Officer, Coach Alli Musa Mairogo, emphasized that the tournament’s primary goal is to discover new talent and build a sustainable pool of players.

 

“As a board, we are intentional about having a sustainable pool of talents, ensuring the country never lacks players. Football has always been Nigeria’s area of strength in international competitions, and we must maintain that momentum with regular competitions like this,” he stated.

To ensure a successful competition, organizers will hold a workshop for coaches and team chairmen, supported by the AMAC Football Coaches Council Leaders.

 

“We appreciate the support from the AMAC Football Coaches Council and are confident that this collaboration will result in a fantastic competition,” Coach Mairogo added.

 

With preparations in full swing, football fans and players alike eagerly await what promises to be an exciting and talent-filled Kabusa Football League 2025.
