The first edition of the Judith Chime Football Championship will hold in Enugu from 15-21 December 2024.

According to the organizers of the tournament, eight teams will take part in this year's edition which will be held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

Confirming the date of the tournament, the sponsor of the tournament Judith Chime, a former Super Falcons goalkeeper said "in the last two editions of the tournament sponsored by Judith Chime Foundation, we used the tournament to honoured former International Ifeanyi Chiejine, and it was held in her home state, Delta State, but subsequent ones will now be held in Enugu State. Our mission remains the same, that is supporting the girl child in their quest to excel in the game of football, and combining it with education".

She said invitation will be extended to the 8 teams early enough to enable them confirm their participation.

The first lady of the state and two legend footballers of Enugu State origin will be given a meritorious award during the championship.
