Joeboy Fires Back at Critics: "There's Nothing 'Mid' About Me"
Nigerian singer Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus, popularly known as Joeboy, has responded to criticism surrounding his music.
The young artist has faced intense backlash on social media, with some critics labeling his music as "mid." However, Joeboy pushed back against these claims during a recent appearance on the "Backstage Banter" podcast.
"I don't think there's anything 'mid' about my existence," Joeboy insisted. "Considering my age and how far I've come in my career, I'd say I'm doing pretty well."
Joeboy attributed the negative criticism to unhappiness in his critics' personal lives. "If you're genuinely happy with your life, you wouldn't take the time to attack someone online," he said.
He also questioned the validity of the term "mid," suggesting it's a popular buzzword without real substance.
