Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has suspended Auwalu Danladi Sankara, the State Commissioner of Special Duties, amid allegations of adultery. The suspension, announced by Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State Malam Bala Ibrahim, aims to ensure transparency and uphold the state administration's integrity. 

The Kano Hisbah Board arrested Sankara after Nasiru Bulama, the husband of Tasleem Baba Nabegu, filed a complaint accusing the commissioner of having an affair with his wife. Sankara was found with Nabegu, a married woman with two kids, in an uncompleted building owned by him. Hisbah Director General Abba Sufi revealed that they had been tracking Sankara due to previous reports. 

The suspension is a precautionary measure to facilitate a fair investigation, demonstrating Governor Namadi's commitment to accountability and ethical governance. Sankara will face charges in court, and the outcome will determine his future in the state executive council.
