Iyabo’s reaction comes amid ongoing legal battles involving controversial social commentator VeryDarkMan, who was recently re-arraigned on allegations of cyberbullying against her, fellow actress Tonto Dikeh, and others.

She accused him of deliberately spreading false narratives online to stir controversy and gain attention.

The dispute is also linked to a WhatsApp group formed shortly after the death of singer Mohbad—a group VeryDarkMan previously described as secretive.

Iyabo Ojo dismissed that claim, explaining that the group existed solely to pursue justice for the late artist.

According to her, the group’s objectives included:

• pushing for an investigation into Mohbad’s death,

• calling for the body to be exhumed for an autopsy, and

• ensuring he received a proper burial.

She clarified that all her actions were lawful and transparent, adding that she participated only as a witness, not as someone instigating criminal prosecution.

Despite the unsettling rumours, Iyabo Ojo thanked fans who reached out to confirm her wellbeing, reiterating that she remains focused on her advocacy work and will continue to fight against misinformation targeting her name.
