Obinna Achebe, head coach of St Nwadinso, has hinted that despite being the youngest team in the NLO Playoffs here at OISA Stadium, Okpalla, near Owerri, his team is in the race for the right reasons.

St Nwadinso are in the running for the sole ticket from the center, having garnered four points from three matches following a win, a draw and one defeat.

Kun Khalifat are top of the standings with four points, same as St Nwadinso but with superior goals.

With the expulsion of Safe Africa Child FC following their inability to honour three straight games, the tournament has been thrown wide open as Kun Khalifat, St Nwadinso and Ikukuoma enter the big race for who snatches to sole ticket from the group.

"We know it isn't gonna be easy, but we'll give it our best shot", Achebe said.

"Yes, we're the youngest amongst the participating teams here. This team only came into existence in February, just two months ago. But, we've a vision, driven by our mission to accomplish.

"We painstakingly did our preparation before coming here. Yes, we're young, but we fear no foes. We are determined and would be glad if God rewards our efforts.

"This is not however over ambitious, no. First, we want to have a feel of the competition, enjoy it, give our best and learn from there.

"And if in the process victory comes, so be it, and we'll thank God for it".

On Friday, April 26, St Nwadinso will be up against Heartland Feeders in their match day four clash.
