The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development, Adeyinka Anthony Adeboye, has joined millions around the world in celebrating International Women’s Day, describing Nigerian women as pillars of strength, resilience, and progress in society.

 

In a goodwill message commemorating the global celebration, Adeboye praised the remarkable contributions of women in nation-building, particularly their impact in sports, youth development, leadership, and community advancement.

 

According to the presidential aide, women continue to break barriers and redefine possibilities across different sectors, noting that their determination and commitment have played a crucial role in shaping a stronger and more inclusive society.

 

“Today, we celebrate the strength, courage, and invaluable contributions of women who continue to inspire progress in our nation and across the world. From our homes to leadership positions, from classrooms to sports arenas, women have consistently shown that their impact is immeasurable,” Adeboye said.

 

He also highlighted the growing influence of women in sports development, acknowledging the achievements of female athletes, administrators, and other stakeholders who have continued to elevate Nigeria’s reputation on the global sporting stage.

 

Adeboye emphasized that increasing women’s participation in sports, particularly at the grassroots level, remains vital for nurturing the next generation of champions and role models.

 

“Women in sports have continued to make Nigeria proud on the global stage. Their achievements inspire young girls across the country to dream bigger and believe in their potential,” he added.

 

The presidential aide further reaffirmed the commitment of the Federal Government under the leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu to promoting gender inclusion, empowerment, and equal participation in sports and national development.

 

He stressed that investing in women and girls, particularly through sports and youth-focused programs, would help strengthen communities and foster a more balanced and progressive society.

 

As the world celebrates International Women’s Day, Adeboye encouraged Nigerians to continue supporting women and girls by creating enabling environments where their talents, leadership abilities, and aspirations can flourish.
