Influencer Blessing CEO Deactivates Instagram Amid Cancer Claim Controversy
Controversial social media influencer Blessing Okoro has deactivated her Instagram account following widespread criticism over her claims of battling stage 4 breast cancer.
The account went offline on the evening of April 4, 2026, with visitors to her verified profile encountering a “User not found” message, confirming that the influencer has taken the profile down.
The controversy began days earlier when Blessing CEO shared a video of herself crying and shaving her head, claiming she had stage 4 cancer and expressing fear over her condition. She subsequently announced plans to sell her properties to fund treatment and solicited financial support from followers.
Doubts about her story quickly emerged online. Miss Deborah Mbara alleged that the medical report Blessing CEO shared was actually hers and had been manipulated. The situation intensified during an Instagram live session with media personality Daddy Freeze, when a lawyer questioned her but she failed to provide clear responses.
Following these developments, some donors demanded refunds, accusing Blessing CEO of fraud and misleading the public.
Her Instagram deactivation marks the latest development in a saga that has sparked heated debates about accountability, social media influence, and online fundraising practices in Nigeria.
