One 42-year-old housewife, Lola Abdulsalam, don land for prison after she pour hot water on her co-wife, Bilikisu Abdulsalam. Na Ilorin Magistrate Court remand her for correctional center.

Police carry two charges go court against Lola – one for causing serious injury and another for defamation of character, wey no follow for sections 247 and 292 of di penal code.

Police talk say di matter start when Bilikisu dey remove dead rat for backyard. Na im Lola start to dey beat am with broom, call am witch, before she waka enter kitchen, carry hot water from fire pour for her body. Di thing burn her face, breast, and other parts of her body.

Dem rush Bilikisu go Cottage Hospital, Olorunshogo, Ilorin, where dem admit am for treatment.

Prosecutor ASP Zacheus Folorunsho beg court make dem keep Lola for prison until police finish investigation.

 

Magistrate Ibrahim Dasuki agree with di prosecutor and order make dem remand Lola for Oke-Kura Correctional Facility, Ilorin. Di court don adjourn di case go March 6, 2023, for further hearing.
