Chairman of Anambra State Football Association, 'General' Chikelue Iloenyosi, has paid a 'get-well-quick' visit to ailing former Super Eagles forward-turned defender, Sylvanus 'Quick Silver' Okpalla at his Festac, Lagos, residence, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

'Hafia', as Okpalla is affectionately called by his hordes of admirers, is reported to be passing through health challenges.

Iloenyosi, himself also a former Nigeria international, opted to extend his 'one love' gesture to the former Portugal based midfielder and 1980 AFCON winner.

The two former Super Eagles players were at different times on the payroll of the famous glamour team of the South East, Rangers International.

And with the 'Rangers Blood' still running through their veins, Iloenyosi opted to travel to Lagos to visit 'the first Nigerian player to play Professional Football in Portugal' and equally a former Flying Eagles Captain.

"I was in Lagos to see Sylvanus Okpalla in his house in Festac, Lagos", Iloenyosi told Exclusivenews.com.ng.

"And I'm happy to bring you good tidings that he's getting better.

"We'll continue to pray for him. We'll also continue to support him wherever necessary because as sportsmen, that's the spirit", Iloenyosi said.
