Following the conclusion of Ijele Sports Club’s debut campaign in the Nigerian National League (NNL), Chief Executive Officer Ferdinand A. Naza has issued a heartfelt end-of-season message to the club’s community, vowing a strong comeback after the team’s relegation to the Nationwide League One (NLO 1).

In a statement addressed to coaches, players, sponsors, partners, and the club’s passionate fan base, Naza described the 2024/2025 season as one of “learning, growth, and gratitude.”

“Though culminating in our relegation… this season has been filled with powerful lessons, spirited performances, and moments that truly define the resilience and identity of this great club,” he wrote.

Despite the challenges—including tough officiating, logistical issues, and broader systemic hurdles within the league structure—Naza praised the team’s unwavering spirit. He specifically highlighted the club’s memorable 2–0 win over 2024 champions Beyond Limit FC as a testament to the squad’s potential and the tactical ability of its coaching staff.

“To our coaches and technical staff, I salute your unyielding dedication… you laid a strong foundation for what this club can become,” Naza stated, while applauding the players for their passion and resilience, and the fans for their relentless support across the country.

Naza reaffirmed Ijele’s commitment to returning stronger in the coming season: “We are returning to the NLO 1 not with bowed heads, but with renewed focus and an iron resolve to correct our shortcomings.”

He closed the letter with an inspiring rallying cry: “Together, we move forward. Together, we remain Ijele, the pride of East, the heartbeat of the people.”
